David Setzer

Founder & CEO

David Setzer | Founder & CEO

David is the Founder & CEO of Mailprotector, a SaaS-based email security, encryption, and compliance platform delivered exclusively through a network of global IT partners.

In addition to his work with Mailprotector, he and his wife, Kristin, have spent the last 30 years coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs in former communist Eastern Europe.

David resides in Greenville, SC, where he and Kristin raise their five children. There, he has been active on the boards of Greenville Technical Charter High School, NEXT Start, and Clemson University's Spiro Center for Entrepreneurial Research. He graduated from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and served as the President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Ben Hathaway serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Mailprotector and holds a position on its board of directors. Since taking on the role in 2008, Ben has been instrumental in steering the company's technological advancements, ensuring a world-class product experience for partners and users. His leadership extends across product design, development, operations, and support.

With over two decades of engineering experience, Ben is a seasoned product creator, driving his team's passion for building security products that are both highly effective and thoughtfully designed with user experience in mind.

Mike Eis

Mike Eis | Chief Financial Officer

Mike Eis joined Mailprotector in 2023, assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer. Bringing over two decades of expertise in finance, accounting, and operations leadership across various industries, Mike has a proven track record of success. Before joining, he was CFO for two high-growth SaaS businesses, contributing significantly to their successful exits.

Following his time at business school, Mike spent seven years in Home Depot's Growth Initiatives team, collaborating with functional leaders to design and establish new business lines. Subsequently, he transitioned into the software industry during his four-year tenure as a fractional CFO.

Originally from Michigan, Mike has called Atlanta home since his college days. Beyond his professional pursuits, he dedicates his time to his wife and four children, actively coaching their hockey and soccer teams.

Jason Samples is a seasoned channel professional with extensive experience in the technology and cybersecurity industry. As the CRO of Mailprotector, he plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the company's growth.

Jason is laser-focused on exceeding quotas and bringing revenue to the company while mentoring and instilling a passionate drive in his team to succeed. His leadership has left a lasting impact, leading teams at CyberFox, Addigy, and ConnectWise.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Jason has a background in Sports Science and is an avid sports enthusiast. He's a huge fan of football, hockey, and basketball. If he's not at a game, you can find him spending time with family by the water.

Mark Glowacz

Mark Glowacz | VP of Partner Success

Mark Glowacz, born and raised in Chicago within an entrepreneurial family, developed a fascination with technology from an early age. As a former MSP, Mark has over 20 years of IT experience in networking and technology leadership. He now leads Mailprotector's Partner Success Team as VP. 

As an executive and former business owner in technology management, consulting, and outsourcing, Mark specialized in providing comprehensive IT and cloud computing solutions. His responsibilities included the general management of managed services clients, oversight of marketing and sales, spearheading new business development, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the business.

John Timko

John Timko | VP of Marketing

With over 23 years of leadership and marketing expertise in the MSP and Enterprise technology sectors, John Timko is a valuable addition to the Mailprotector team as VP of Marketing.

In his most recent role, he served as the VP of Marketing at CyberFOX, and ConnectWise, playing a pivotal role in the company's growth, culminating in its acquisition in 2019. Before that, he served as the Director of Marketing for Numara Software, a leading Enterprise IT Help Desk solution company. His contributions were instrumental in the company's success, leading to its acquisition by BMC Software.

Interestingly, before embarking on his marketing career, John had a stint as a professional baseball player for the Detroit Tigers organization and, to this day, is still involved in the sport through coaching.

Christine Gassman | VP of Community


Christine Gassman brings two decades of IT Channel expertise to her VP of Community at Mailprotector role. Christine has cultivated strong relationships with MSPs and security vendors, expanding channel footprints and strengthening go-to-market strategies for renowned companies like Datto, Cofense, and Armor Cloud Security. Her extensive experience in global channel engagement, creating partner programs, and building long-term relationships has earned her recognition on prestigious lists such as the CRN Women of the Channel and CRN Channel Chiefs.


Outside of her professional endeavors, Christine is deeply committed to making a difference in her community as a licensed foster parent for the Children's Home Society of NC and as a volunteer at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina. She resides in Eastern NC with her four nephews and niece, alongside her rescue dogs.

David Nankervis, an experienced MSP SaaS Sales Leader, brings a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful sales teams within the managed service provider industry. With a profound understanding of the MSP market, David has a genuine passion for collaborating with innovative technology companies.

Throughout his career, David has consistently demonstrated success in creating and executing sales strategies, developing robust sales pipelines, and effectively closing deals. His innate talent for identifying and capitalizing on market trends is complemented by extensive experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams.

Known for his strategic thinking and hands-on approach, David is dedicated to assisting MSPs in expanding their business by implementing cutting-edge SaaS solutions.
